Boiler LAB

Nowadays, the process of growth and development almost never seems to manage to create this subtle balance between the importance of the individual parts, and the coherence of the environment as a whole. One or the other always dominates.

Boiler LAB

IT infrastructures, unlike computing systems which typically concern independent or stand alone systems, is a concept being developed to describe large scale, complex, and networked technologies. Boiler Lab is an University facility which aims at proposing specific approaches to build beneficial IT infrastructures to be cultivated, scaled up and maintained over time. Boiler lab studies and encourages the development and adoption of new technologies for IT Infrastructures.

The lab achieves its mission by:

  • Developing testing tools, methodologies, and procedures
  • Evaluating new computing and network technologies to be adopted
  • Providing educational opportunities
  • Organizing conferences and parties

Boiler lab operates within General Direction of Telecommunications of University of Pisa.
